Holistic Approach to mother-child care
Pregnancy is a beautiful journey but also an anxious one. At Kalawati Hospital we follow a holistic approach to antenatal care. Along with the routine antenatal check-up we offer services such as Phone Sakhi – a weekly voice messaging service for women throughout pregnancy, antenatal and postnatal physiotherapy and diet advice. The doctors specialise in complicated cases such as high risk obstetrics and recurrent pregnancy loss. Every birth is attended by a trained paediatrician and newborn screening at birth is a standard of care.
The Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department in Kalawati Hospital was founded in 1980 by Dr. Neelam Yadav. With over thirty years of experience it is one of the busiest OPDs in Rewari today. On an average 70-80 patients consult us every day for:
- Antenatal examination
- High risk obstetrics including recurrent miscarriages
- Infertility
- Menstrual irregularities
- Pelvic infections
- Contraception
- Cord blood banking
We now have special OPDs for Adolescent girls and Menopausal women as we recognise that these stages in a woman’s life need holistic support. Facilities like vaccination for prevention of cancer cervix in young women and screening through liquid PAPs for older women are also available.

Obstetrics & Gynaecology
Gynaecology OPD
OPD Services run daily from Sundays to Saturday , 9am to 2pm. The OPD runs for half a day on selected Public Holidays too. Consultation is provided to women with diseases of the reproductive system like menstrual problems, infections, benign tumours like fibroids, ovarian cysts, cancers.
Obstetrics & Antenatal OPD
OPD Services are provided for general check-up and comprehensive care. It runs daily from Sundays to Saturday , 9am to 2pm. The OPD runs for half a day on selected Public Holidays too.
We provide consultation and care for – high risk obstetrics, antenatal screening for Down’s syndrome & Trisomy 13 & 18, complete range of antenatal investigations, antenatal and postnatal exercises and physiotherapy
and nutrition during pregnancy and lactation.
IVF & Fertility
We have a dedicated OPD for fertility and reproductive endocrinology support which runs daily from Sundays to Saturday , 9am to 2pm. The OPD runs for half a day on selected Public Holidays too. We have a state-of-the-art A.R.T centre with facilities for advanced laparoscopic surgery, IUI, IVF (test-tube baby), ICSI and surgeries like MESA and TESA for male infertility.
Birthing & Care
We offer experienced staff and the latest infrastructure to ensure that birthing is a cherishable memory for the mother and the entire family. Each delivery is attended by a qualified obstetrician and a paediatrician. We have a spacious labour room, round the clock services of anaesthetists for emergency C-sections, two well-equipped operating theatres and a level 3 neonatal intensive care unit.
Phone Sakhi
We offer a special audio messaging service throughout pregnancy and infancy called ‘Phone Sakhi’. The voice calls are in the local dialect, specific to the woman’s gestational age or the age of the child and are sent weekly/twice a week free of cost directly to pregnant women and mothers with children.
