The Department Specialises in Laparoscopy
Kalawati Hospital has a vibrant department of surgery, founded by Dr. Poonam Yadav in 1989. A unit dedicated to endoscopic surgery was started in 1994.
With two fully-equipped operation theatres, we offer facilities for:
- Open GI surgeries
- Breast surgeries
- Endoscopic surgeries like laparoscopic cholecystectomy
- Paediatic surgery including neonatal procedures
- Urological surgery including procedures requiring a C-arm
Additionally we have honorary paediatric surgeon, Urologist and plastic surgeon consulting with us regularly. We plan to launch a dedicated Breast surgery unit and facilities for comprehensive urogynecological care shortly.

We offer advanced treatment for stone removal in kidneys and ureters, with a focus on minimally invasive techniques, even for the largest stones. We offer outpatient procedures, minimal postoperative discomfort, minimal invasive procedures and easy & fast scheduling.
Hysterectomy
We cater to all modalities of hysterectomy procedures. We offer treatment for uterine fibroids, uterine cancer ,endometrial cancer etc. Our team of surgeons and gynaecologists ensure the best treatment and care.
