The Department provides comprehensive diagnosis & care to children with developmental difficulties
We provide comprehensive interdisciplinary diagnosis, assessment and management plans for children (early childhood to adolescence) with or at risk for developmental disabilities. Our aim is to use a multidisciplinary approach to encourage all round development for these children.
Our team encompasses Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and language Therapists, special educators and Psychologist working with an aim to catalyze overall development of the special need children in their formative years.
We treat for the following conditions:
- Development Delays
- Cerebral Palsy
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Attention deficit hyperactive disorder
- Down syndrome
- Learning Disabilities
- CTEV ( Congenital talipes equinovarus )
- Muscular Dystrophy
- Spina Bifida
- Infantile spasm
- Mental retardation
- Brachial Plexus Birth Palsy ( Erb’s Palsy)
Services
Child Development
Physiotherapy
Our therapists work to help children with rolling, sitting, standing, walking and other gross motor skills. We use many different ways like home exercise programs, parent education, recommendations for play or recreational activities, and participation in specific group or individual sessions.
Sometimes specialised equipment is also used to assist children.
Occupational Therapy
We help develop, recover, or maintain daily living and work skills of children with a physical, mental, or cognitive disorders. We endevour to make children fully participate in school and social situations and/or help them recover from injuries to regain.
Speech & Language Therapy
We work with babies and children with various levels of speech, language and communication problems. We also work with those children who have swallowing, drinking or eating difficulties from a range of causes like a cleft palate etc.
Other Services
We also offer Special Education, Group Therapy, Early Intervention Services, Art Based Therapy and Play Therapy for children with special needs. Each program is devised, implemented and revised periodically to keep it relevant to the treatment.
